About Kala GalleryKala Gallery is run by Katie Hanson (buyer & admin) and Mark Gibson ( web site and absolutely everything else!) and is based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Mark and Katie met when working together at a music venue and went to India for the first time together in 2007. Mark has an ongoing love affair with India and had been many times before and so was the perfect guide. With our combined past work experience and need for an excuse to revisit India as often as can be got away with, it was inevitable that Kala Gallery was created.
'Kala' means 'fine art' in Hindi and it is our objective to source the best quality art and crafts at source for resale in the UK. The western market is saturated with colourful but mass produced Indian imports and the same products have become commonplace in many European towns. Anyone who has tried it will know how hard it is to find unique, good quality but affordable items on the internet other than the rather dubious and expensive Indian 'antiquities' on E-Bay.

Our packaging is wherever possible made from recycled biodegradable materials or is re-used packaging from when the goods arrived here from India. Delivery AddressYour Delivery address will be the address your card is registered at ( where you receive your statements ) this is also your Billing Address. We will only deliver purchased goods to your Billing address, we do this as part of our online anti fraud procedure, this is to protect you and us from fraudulent purchases. However if the goods need to be delivered to an alternative address we can make some provisions to help, you will need to register as a customer and create a support ticket, to arrange the validation of an alternative address. We can not guarantee times for deliveries so you will need to arrange for someone to be in on the day of delivery.
