Antique Indian Trade Labels

These antique trade labels were produced by rival cloth manufacturing and dyeing firms in late 19th century. Proclaiming the names of companies like Finlay, Muir & Co,F Steiner and Co and others, they survive in India as decorative items or even objects of devotion.

These unique and beautifully coloured pictures have Indian religious and courtly subject matter and are executed with the usual Indian fine eye for detail.
